Viktor Kharitonin's MedInvestGroup has acquired 27.78% of the share capital of European Medical Center (EMC) from Baring Vostok funds which had invested in the company since 2012, according to the Medvestnik.ru web portal.
The transaction value was not disclosed.
Igor Shilov remains the principal shareholder of EMC holding 68.75% of the company's shares.
EMS clinics provide medical care services under the territorial program of guarantees from the government of Moscow. The budget of the Moscow urban compulsory medical insurance fund covers the PET / CT diagnostics, as well as radiation therapy and chemotherapy services.
In January 2020, MedInvestGroup which comprises the PET Technology network of nuclear medicine centers completed the acquisition of a 100% stake in Patscan LLC. The company located in the Southern Federal District manages two active PET / CT scanners in Stavropol, with three more under construction in Krasnodar, Vladikavkaz and Rostov-on-Don. Before 2024, MedInvestGroup is ambitious to open 40 centers and 8 production sites in different regions, as previously stated by Vice President Pavel Golovin.
